NMU Splashes Their Way To 4 New Pool Records
NMU SWIM TEAM DOMINATES RECENT MEET AGAINST MSU
Marquette MI- Northern Michigan University’s PEIF pool saw lots of action on October 24th and 25th, 2014 as NMU’s swimming and diving team faced off against Minnesota State University. Each day was made up of 2 diving and 11 swimming events.

On Friday, October 24th, NMU won 12 of 13 events with a final score of 137-100. Fans got to bear witness to 4 new pool records. Diver Molly Kearney broke the existing one-meter and three-meter records. She scored 289.45 in the one-meter and 304.15 in the three-meter. Debbi Lawrence had a new pool record in the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 57.87 seconds. NMU’s 200 medley relay team made up of swimmers Debbi Lawrence, Madisen Sechena, Crystal Bennet, and Emily Bourguignon had a new record with a time of 1:47.04.
Saturday, October 25th, NMU washed away MSU winning all 13 events with a final score of 155-82.
