Che Bello’s 4th Annual Fashion Show
Bringing On The Summer With Style!
Marquette Michigan – The Che Bello Fashion Show kicked off the summer season in downtown Marquette with it’s 4th annual event Thursday, April 23, 2015. The show is an awesome collaboration by many local businesses who donate their time, talents, and services to raise money for a community based charity each year. Patrons of the event are treated to a chic evening of delicious food, wine tasting, entertainment, and raffle drawings for gift baskets provided by a variety of sponsors.
This year’s event featured wine tastings by Everday Wines, food from the 906 Sports Bar & Grill, and a performance by the Peak Aerialists group in addition to the main attraction, the summer fashion show, highlighting the latest trends for the upcoming season from several downtown boutiques. Proceeds from the 2015 event benefit the YMCA Reach & Rise™ Mentoring Program, designed to support at risk kids aged 6-17 to develop healthy relationships and increase their
connectedness to families, school, community, and employment.
Not only is this annual event a great way to support local charities, it’s also a LOT of fun and a rare opportunity here in the U.P. to enjoy a little taste of “city life” and get dressed up for a night on the town while getting psyched up for summer (not that we need much help for that, right!). We recommend you mark your calendar’s and book your sitters now for next year’s Che Bello Summer Fashion Show!
Out of curiosity and necessity I have become accustomed to wearing many hats in life. The latest hat in my collection is as owner/publisher/author/photographer/videographer for Marquette Magazine. Among other things I am a doula, certified breastfeeding counselor, NMU student, and mother of 5... whew, I'm getting tired just writing that...
