Ishpeming Hematites beat Lake City Trojans 28-13

Ishpeming, MI, Nov. 16, 2013 – Ishpeming Hematites beat Lake City Trojans 28-13 – Ishpeming has done it again, winning the Division 7 regional title for the second year in a row! Today’s victory pits them against Harbor Beach next Saturday Nov. 23rd in the state semi-finals.

The Lake City Trojans gave the Hematites more of a challenge in this game then we have seen so far this season from every other Hematite opponent. By the second quarter they threatened Ishpeming’s lead at 13- 14. The Ishpeming boys didn’t seem to like having such a small lead and came back in the second half of the game with a vengeance, proving that they want the state championship title for 2013.

Ishpeming’s #30 Adam Prisk, had an impressive performance in today’s game scoring 3 touchdowns for the Hematites showing his capacity for speed and determination. In his first run with the ball he made a 50 yard touchdown making the first points of the game. Check our video clip to see him running the ball straight into our camera (on a later play)! This was followed up by a touchdown pass caught by Mitch Laurin.
