Learn to kayak or do stand-up paddle boarding this summer with the YMCA!

Marquette, MI – The ice-bergs in Lake Superior have melted at last and summer has finally arrived!  Time to start getting out and enjoying some of the great recreational sports that make living in the Upper Peninsula unique.

Saturday June 28th, 2014 the YMCA of Marquette County offered free classes all day in stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking to promote their upcoming classes for the summer season.  This is a great opportunity to learn some new activities that offer unrivaled ways to enjoy the natural beauty of our Lake Superior coastline, will keep you in shape, and are loads of fun to do.

Our local YMCA is currently offering classes for all ages throughout July and August.  There will be courses by age as well as family group excursions, and instructor development workshops. Just contact the YMCA for info and to register. 906-227-9622
