Marquette MI- Sunday, October 19, 2014. It was a beautiful fall day in Marquette, full of happy smiling people enjoying the weather. Some of the biggest smiles where found at NMU’s soccer field. Soccer fans dressed in team colors enthusiastically cheered on their teams as they enjoyed a great display of athleticism.

The Lady cats strapped on their cleats and faced off against the University of Findlay. NMU took the lead 12 minutes into the game with a goal scored by Ashley Katers. The goal seemed to foul Findlay’s competitive drive as the Cats continued to dominate Findlay on the field for the rest of the game. The second goal was scored by Paula Hafner. After half time everyone experienced a strange case of deja vu with Katers and Hafner both scoring again. The final score was NMU 4 Findlay 0.

When I was a little girl my parents taught me how to use a camera. I spent my photographic childhood in 4-H taking photos so I could enter them into the yearly county fair and have them judged.
I have a BFA in photography from Northern Michigan University. My favorite photographic subjects are sports and nature. My dream career is to be a sports photographer working for a big name team or media.
I have been a volunteer photographer for the Beacon House in Marquette for some of their fundraising events. In May 2014 I became a contributor with marquettemagazine.com.
