The winter 2014 Senior Exhibition Has Been Installed

It has been a busy two days for me and my fellow Art and Design senior classmates. We have successfully installed our works of art into the Devos Art Museum. Our show, titled Zeitgeist: NMU School of Art and Design Senior Exhibition, will open tomorrow Wednesday, April 16th and close on May 2nd. With the show including work from every department there is something for everyone to enjoy. If you have some free time and are looking to cure your cabin fever come to the museum and enjoy the art we have worked so hard on.

The DeVos Art Museum can be found on 1401 Presque Isle Ave., Marquette MI. Museum hours are Monday-Wednesday, Friday 10-5pm; Thursday 12-8pm; Saturday-Sunday 1-4pm. The closing reception takes place May 2nd from 7 to 9pm.

When I was a little girl my parents taught me how to use a camera. I spent my photographic childhood in 4-H taking photos so I could enter them into the yearly county fair and have them judged. I have a BFA in photography from Northern Michigan University. My favorite photographic subjects are sports and nature. My dream career is to be a sports photographer working for a big name team or media. I have been a volunteer photographer for the Beacon House in Marquette for some of their fundraising events. In May 2014 I became a contributor with marquettemagazine.com.
