Marquette, MI – NMU’s hockey team presented their 2014/15 season athletes to the public Saturday night, October 11, 2014. The evening started with an open skate with Wild Cat Willy and the players. The guys spent the time signing autographs and answering questions. After everyone wore themselves out on the ice a pizza party was held in the wildcat room.

Following the party fans enjoyed four scrimmages pitting teammate against teammate. NMU had their green vs. gold team battling for bragging rites and positions on the team. Three local children’s teams entertained the crowd during intermission and between the short breaks the Wildcats took time to catch their breath. Everyone left the arena with smiles on their faces and fond memories to inspire the future generations of hockey players and look back on.

When I was a little girl my parents taught me how to use a camera. I spent my photographic childhood in 4-H taking photos so I could enter them into the yearly county fair and have them judged.
I have a BFA in photography from Northern Michigan University. My favorite photographic subjects are sports and nature. My dream career is to be a sports photographer working for a big name team or media.
I have been a volunteer photographer for the Beacon House in Marquette for some of their fundraising events. In May 2014 I became a contributor with marquettemagazine.com.
